END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR Bill’s POS Software

 

Attention: You certify that you are not a minor and that you agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions set out in this License.  You agree to be responsible for any and all service provider fees. This agreement does not grant you any rights to patents, copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks (whether registered on unregistered), or any other rights of this software. You may not rent, lease, or reverse engineer this software. Copying, duplicating, selling or distributing of this software.  Bill’s POS provides you with a Product and grants you a non-exclusive license to Use the Product in accordance with the terms of this License 

 

One copy of the enclosed software package only can be use on a single PC. Bill’s POS makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied with respect to this software, any associated hardware, and documentation is licensed and sold “as is”

And you assume the entire risk, cost and liability that result from using this software and any associated hardware. In no event will Bill’s POS be liable to you or anyone for any damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use this software and any associated hardware.

Installation Instructions

 
Insert the disc in your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

 
If auto-run is enabled

1.      Click on Install POS Software and follow the directions

2.      2nd L Support is optional.

3.      If no setup dialog box appears. See instructions below.

 

 
If auto-run is disabled

1.      Click the Start Button.

2.      Click on Run or go to Windows Explorer

3.      Enter D:\Setup\Setup.exe or E:\

 

For win98 user:

After software has been installed, enter your password “1133” and you will see Msg “Class not registered looking for object with CLSID” please install the file COM98.exe and DCM98CFG.exe from your CD-Rom “D:” or use your office XP CD to upgrade your windows.

 

Getting Started Start > Programs > A+ Restaurant Sys, > Bill POS 4

You can make a Create Shortcut of Bill POS 4 put it in StartUp from the submenu. Every time you start up your PC, Bill POS 4 program will start running automatically.

0. Order Listing: By click on that item to delete then.

15.         Special Request: Add or remove unwanted Items.

See Setting – Special Request to change.

16.       Split Check: You can split as many checks as you want. Click on the item that you want to move to split and press print, same for the second or third split checks.

17.            Add Tax manually (See Settings-> Information -> Togo Tax Rate)

18.       Exit: on lower of left corner 

19.       Notes: Similar to Special Request, but standard price can be preset.

20.       To switch view of the language (If you switch setting to support 2nd language)

Level 1: Take Out, Dine In, Bar, Delivery Person, Edit/Add Customer, Recall orders and add new items to the orders but can’t remove items from the orders.  (Require Level 2 or Level 3 password)

Level 2: You can set your own access for the level 2

Level 3: Allowed full feature access.

 

The Employee report lists employee information such as name, address and social security number, date hired, hourly rate, level, and position.  This report is useful if you want to verify your employees’ information for W2s,

 

Customer Listing (Quick Steps for Adding a Customer or Prospect)

You can view add basic information about your client and prospects on the customer list.

            From Back Office > Customer Employee > Customer List

The information for your customers is divided into these columns

Ref: Is 2nd Customer’s data field too. Use for Take Out program, computer will search your customer data field to location your customer information each time when phone rings or number that was enter by you.  If that customer is not in your data field, the program will ask you to “Add New Customer?”  By click on “Yes” computer will search from 2nd data field to locate that customer. (2nd data field can be purchased from Bill’s POS)

To replace exiting data just simply type the new data over the current data and it will be saved.  (Enter “,” at end of Beer/Wine and enter “.” at the end of Liquor.)

 

2. Add/Edit Menu from your Back Office > Menu Edit

Here is an easier way to edit your menus.

 

Remember: You must click on Save for Add/Edit on each record.

Add New Item: Click on one of the Add New Item button type in new item in description and so on.  Press Save

Delete Item: Select that item and press Del

Enter “,” after Beer/Wine in your menu and “.” for Liquors.

Toppings

Pizza Toppings:

There are two tabs on the Toppings field

  1. Whole Toppings
  2. Half Toppings

Add/Edit toppings will be saved automatically in this field.

 

 

How to add pictures:

Select an item by clicking on that Item then it will turn red and select a picture from the Picture Source.

Deleted Picture:

Select a button by clicking on it then clicking on Del Pic.

Sales Reports (Back Office > Reports)

You can optionally sort this report by days between to view all the transactions invoices total amount information on this window or Employee IDs: columns will view only that employee’s sales record.

Yon can change any of this data field in the window, if necessary.

 
Reports – Allows you to queue a list of reports for printing or viewing, you can also create and edit the format for reports form, and financial statements in MS Excel.

 

The information for your Sales Reports is divided into these folders

Delivery, Take Out, Dine In, Bar and All

1.       Select a day From and To

2.   Select any folder tab to view all the details on your columns

                        3.   Employees ID: columns will view only that employee’s sales record.

Expenses Reports (Back Office > Expense)

You can select list of payments by clicking on life of the window, and enter all your purchase payment or expenses. 

 
           

Favorites Dishes (Back Office > Favorites Dishes)

Record all of sales items from Take Out, Dine In. Bar.

You can optionally sort this report by days between or Top Selling Dishes.

How to Lend or Repayment:

Main Window: 

1.) Click on Driver Bank.

2.) Select Lend or Payment. 

3.) Click on Lend and enter your owner or manager ID, if the employee ID is correct    borrowing amount will appear.

4.) Select an amount you want to lend to the employee.

5.) Enter this employee’s ID.

6.) Click on Print Receipt.  

 

 

Security Settings

 

Delete order with password: The computer will record all the details when you send orders to the kitchen.  But you are still able to recall orders to add or delete them.

 

 

 

Open Drawer with password: In Take-Out order program you can click on cash drawer to open your drawer anytime without taking an order with owner or manager ID number, by disabling that every employee will be able to open the cash drawer.

 

Print Order w/ Employee ID: In Take-Out or Dine-In you must enter the employee ID before you can print receipts or send orders to kitchen, by clicking the disabled option, the computer will print receipts and send orders to the kitchen without employee ID.

 

Information: Settings > Information or click F5

Printer Settings:

This software can support up to 5 Printers. We recommend the LPT1 port for Front Printer.

Kitchen Printer: If your kitchen printers are your local printers you can select the printer port in combo box. If your kitchen's printers are connected to another computer you have to setup local network to connect computers. Also, select Network in combo box. 

 
 


 

How to set your network printer:

After your finish the peer-to-peer network setup.  You have to set kitchen printer as a share printer in another computer first.

1.)    Click on Start >Open Printers and Fax > select the kitchen Printer

2.)    Right click the printer you want to share  > select Sharing …

3.)    Click on Sharing tab

4.)    Select Share this Printer

5.)    Click OK

 

Notes: If you have followed the steps listed above and still cannot share this printer, open Windows Firewall. (To open Windows Firewall, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Windows Firewall.) Then, on the Exceptions tab, select the File and Printer Sharing check box.

 

Now, you can go back to your first computer check the network and network printer. If you setup properly, this computer will automatically add all network printers to this computer.  See if you setup up properly by open you Windows Explorer in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer. If you Address Bar not in your Windows Explorer, go to View > Toolbars > select Address bar.

1.)    Open My Network Places

2.)    Open Entire Network

3.)    Open Microsoft Windows Network

4.)    Open Work group that you named, and you should see your other computer in that. If not you network not be setup property.

5.)     Select the computer that connects with the kitchen printer. And you should also see the listed name of those printers. If not, that means you network printer not be setup property.

6.)     Copy the text on you address –like “\\Server” to Bill POS software > Back Office > Settings > Printer Settings > In Where  text box.

7.)    Enter the name of the printer in Type and “\” before the printer name.

8.)     What order will be print out on the printer.

9.)     You can optionally to printer each items price on the kitchen printer.

 

 

 

 
Kitchen Monitors/Printers

 

 

 

Monitor D: If that are more, you can use this too. But only up to 3 monitors.

 

Monitor A: Can be use for Bar, Sub or Pizza.

 

Monitor B: Also can be use for Bar, Sub or Pizza.

 
 

 

 

 


Kitchen Monitors/Printers You need to setup a new terminal in your kitchen for your kitchen monitor.

 

 

Networking: Settings > Networking or click F9

 

Fist you have to install Bill’s POS software into all to computers.  And setup your local Peer-to-Peer network between your Server and your Work Station. (Your Server and Work Station should be in same Workgroup name.)

           

How to check it?

1.)    Open Windows Explorer in Start – All Programs – Accessories and Select Windows Explorer

2.)    Select  My Network Places

3.)    Select Entire Network

4.)    Select Microsoft Windows Network

5.)    You should see your workgroup name.  Click on your workgroup and all your PC should be here. If you setup your Peer to Peer network correctly.

                       

 

How to Setup the network?

            1.) Only share your Bill POS 4 Folder on your Server not the Local Disk C:\

            2.) Open Bill’s POS software.  RM04

3.) Go to your Work Station click on Back Office -> Settings -> Network Settings

            4.) Enter your Server name.
            5.)
Enter Shared Data Location.

            6.) Click on File Sharing button.

            Software will now start search Bill POS 4 Folder in your Server.

           

Notes:

            Software will not share your Menu data. If you using same Menu data in all work station please copy “bak.mdb” file into anther computer C:\Program Files\Bill POS 4\ and if you have 2nd Language in your menu.  You should also copy “bakC.mdb” too.

Single: All the files from local Disk C:\

 

File Sharing: Source files from another computer.

Enter the name of the computer you want the source files from C\\Server Name\.

 

 

Reset: Settings > Reset or Click F11

 

            How to delete the Training Order?

            If the software was using the Training data you can not delete the Training database by click on Fresh.

1.)    Click on Business Check Book first.

2.)    Close Bill’s POS Software.

3.)    Reopen the POS Software.

4.)    Go back to Reset again in Back Office – Settings – Reset

5.)    Click on Fresh.

Click Business Check to save data into real business uses.

 

Fresh: Remove Training Order data.

 

Click Training Check to save data into training use.

 

 

 

 

Bill POS 4X-Charge Integration Guide

 

1.                  Install X-Charge on the computer designated as the X-Charge Server computer. 

2.                  Once X-Charge integration is turned on in Bill POS 4, no additional configuration is necessary.  The XCTransaction.dll has to be registered.  Bill POS 4 will default to the Transaction Folder set up in X-Charge Server Setup.

3.                  Run a test transaction.

 

a. On the Main Menu, click Take Out.

 

b. Select a food group on the right, such as Garlic Bread.

           

c. Select a specific kind of bread, such as Garlic Bread Cheese.

           

d. Click Back and Tender Recall.

 

e. Enter ID (try 1133) and click Tender Recall again.

 

F. Swipe credit card or enter information manually.  If swiping the credit card, the transaction will automatically start processing when the swiping is complete.  If keying the credit card information manually, user will have to enter the Tender amount prior to submitting the transaction for processing.

 

g. Once transaction is successful, the first receipt will automatically print and user will be asked if a second receipt should be printed.
